OneDrive, email or Microsoft 365 playing up? Sorted at home.

The helpline is a maze and the forums assume you speak fluent computer. These problems live in your accounts on your devices — so we come to you, fix it where it lives, and explain it in plain English.

Sound familiar?

OneDrive will not sync

Little red crosses, files stuck “waiting”, different versions on different machines. We untangle it and show you how to tell it is healthy.

Files seem to have vanished

They are almost always recoverable — moved, unsynced or sitting in a different account. We find them, restore them, and set things up so it does not happen again.

“Your storage is full” emails

Microsoft nags millions of people with this every day. We work out what is eating the space, clear what you do not need, and only then talk about whether paying for more makes sense.

Outlook not receiving email

Or sending from the wrong address, or asking for a password it refuses to accept. Email you can trust again by the end of the visit.

Signed out of everything

One password change and suddenly the laptop, phone and tablet all want proof it is you. We get every device signed back in and write the recovery details down properly.

Paying for Microsoft 365, unsure why

We look at what you actually use, cancel what you do not, and show you what the rest is for — in plain English.

How a visit works

Ring or use the form and tell us what is misbehaving. We come to you — these problems are nearly always about your devices, your accounts and your history, which is exactly why the helpline and the forums get nowhere. The first hour is a full hour: if the fix is quick, we use the rest to check your backup is real, your recovery details are written down, and the same problem is not waiting on another device.

We never need your password in our hands — you stay at the keyboard for anything private, and we talk you through it. And if the honest answer is “this is a Microsoft fault and here is exactly what to say to them”, that is what you get.

£95

Call-out including the first full hour — then £55 an hour, agreed before we continue. Plenty of OneDrive and email problems can be fixed by remote support from £45 if you would rather not wait for a visit.

What we sort

OneDrive — sync errors, duplicate folders, the “on this PC or in the cloud?” confusion, freeing space, moving photos somewhere sensible.

Outlook and email — accounts that stopped working, the same inbox on every device, old addresses you are scared to lose, moving from a BT or Sky address you no longer pay for.

Microsoft accounts — forgotten passwords done properly, two-step verification set up so it protects you instead of locking you out, recovery details recorded.

Subscriptions — what you are paying, what you are using, what to cancel. Advice priced in hours, not commission — we sell nothing else.

Run a business? The same problems hit harder when the emails are how you get paid — see our business IT help.

“Excellent prompt service from Mick. Not just sorted the problem but helped me understand a couple of my techie blind spots.”

“We had a printer connection problem for several months. Whatever we tried, we couldn’t print. Mick from HomeTechGuys came out and solved our problem… It was such a relief to find a very helpful, cheerful person who put things right and kept us informed at every step. Very happy customers.”

Common Microsoft 365 and OneDrive questions

My files have disappeared from OneDrive — are they gone?

Almost never. They are usually in the cloud but not on the device, in a second account you forgot existed, or recoverable from OneDrive’s own recycle bin, which keeps things for 30 days. The important thing is to stop deleting and moving things — then ring us.

Do I have to bring my computer to you?

No — we come to you, because these problems live across your devices and accounts. Many can also be fixed by remote support from £45 while you watch.

Will you need my password?

You stay at the keyboard for anything private and type it yourself. We will help you reset it properly if it is lost — and write the recovery details down so this is the last time.

Should I pay Microsoft for more storage?

Sometimes — but usually only after clearing what you do not need. We check first, because a surprising amount of “full” storage is duplicate photos and ten-year-old downloads.

Can you move me off my old BT, Sky or TalkTalk email?

Yes — carefully, keeping everything, telling the people who matter, without losing access halfway through. It is one of our most requested jobs.
